FileSmart is a public awareness initiative, designed to educate aircraft operators of the importance of filing timely and accurate flight plans, helping them to avoid air traffic delays and operate more efficiently in the National Airspace System.
FileSmart was developed by, and in cooperation with, the following organizations:
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
- National Business Aviation Association (NBAA)
- Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA)
- National Air Transportation Association (NATA)
The FileSmart website is managed by NBAA Air Traffic Services (ATS) at the FAA’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC).
